30 seconds visualization

 

 

Visualization has always been one important tool I used while training technical field hockey skills. Later in life, I practised visualization previous to aerial moves in trapeze and silks.

We use this method now to visualize paragliding launching, body and mental attitude to fly in thermals, and landing. It is becoming quite useful especially in this period in which, after a long and nice winter in mountains, we restart flying in spring turbulent conditions.

Today, this blue guy proposed me to visualize more than a technical gesture, more than a mental state, he proposed to visualize the feelings we will have while being separated during two weeks. I actually can already visualize how sad I will feel because "I would prefer to be together". However, imagining in advance this state, helped me to gain one or two steps in the acceptance process of the sadness linked to the distance. More interestingly, he later proposed to visualize how we would do to overcome the feeling of sadness and how successful this attitude would be.
